“Spent all of last year designing and curating my passion project / dream spot,” she wrote about her space. “Of course it all came together right before quarantining out of the city … but I’m excited for the time I’ll get to spend enjoying all the special corners that were made with a lil help from some of my favorite creatives … who embraced my ideas and didn’t call me crazy.”
Hadid’s “favorite creatives” might not have called her crazy when she asked for a bowl of pool balls in the kitchen or a giant mechanical pencil statue in the foyer, but many fans sure are.
“Proof wealth doesn’t buy taste,” one person said.
“I’m so so upset,” another user added. “There is no excuse for any of it.”
“Is her interior decorator a kindergarten teacher on summer break like tf,” a third person joked.
Not everyone hated the unique food façade, though.
“I think it’s cool,” one person wrote in defense of the colorful cabinets. “So many celebrity houses all look like the same plain boring place. I love that it’s so colorful. It screams happy vibes to me.”
Many celebrities like Olivia Culpo, Hailey Bieber, Ruby Rose and “Queer Eye”‘s Tan France even complimented Hadid on her “beautiful” new apartment.
Gigi Hadid’s interior design choices might not be for everyone, but hey: When you make millions of dollars, you’re allowed to design however the heck you want!
